Bill of lading (BOL)

Definition

A bill of lading is the document issued at the fuel terminal that records what was loaded onto the truck for your delivery.

It shows gallons loaded, product, and sometimes temperature. It should match your supplier invoice and the amount that actually went into your tank. Differences are a common source of fuel losses that nobody notices.
