A buyer's map of the PDI family

PDI Technologies is a software company for convenience retail and fuel, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. Over time it has acquired other businesses, so a station can end up paying PDI for several different things. This page is a map, not a corporate history. We are independent of PDI, and we cannot say which of these you have. Your PDI representative can.

P97 Networks, 2025

A mobile payments, loyalty and marketing business. PDI describes it as covering mobile payments, offers and digital marketing. If customers pay or earn rewards through an app, this is the kind of product involved. Money from it may arrive by its own route, so a deposit that matches no card batch could trace back here.

Skupos, 2023

A convenience retail data and analytics business. It reads sales and inventory to give you analysis, such as what sells and what sits on the shelf. It informs decisions, but it does not keep your books. Its reports are a useful second view, yet your ledger still needs the real deposits and invoices behind them.

Comdata Merchant Solutions

A payments business that PDI acquired. The year is not confirmed here. Payments mean settlements and fees, which are the hardest part of a station to match to the bank. If this name appears on a statement, ask what service it covers, so the fees land in the right expense account.

Blue Cow Software, 2023

Software for heating oil and propane distribution. It only matters if you also sell home heat or bulk fuel. A station that sells only motor fuel and store goods can likely ignore it. If you do run delivery routes, those sales and costs should be tracked apart from the pumps.

The core back office

This is the part most station owners mean by PDI. PDI describes PDI Enterprise as covering accounting automation, pricebook control, fuel inventory, bank reconciliation and period close reporting, aimed at multi-site operators. Which of those you actually use depends on your setup, so confirm your modules with PDI before assuming a job is already covered.

Where to go next

The family is laid out in the product map. The books-side failures are in what goes wrong. To have us handle it, what we do explains how. Start with the map, find the products you pay for, then check each one against your statements.

What we do depending on which part you use

1

If you use the back office

We post its totals and match them to the bank.

2

If you use a payments product

We match settlements and book the fees.

3

If you use a loyalty or mobile program

We record promotion cost separately.

4

If you use a data tool

We check its sales against the books.

5

If you are unsure

We work out what you use from your bills and deposits.

What happens when the family is treated as one thing

An unexplained deposit

A product pays on its own schedule and nobody knows what it is.

A charge nobody questions

PDI invoices for several things and all of them are booked as one expense.

Loyalty cost hiding in sales

Discounts reduce sales without showing as promotion cost.

An analytics figure that disagrees

The data tool and the books show different sales for the same month.

A second business line mixed in

Heating oil or propane sales sit beside store sales with no separation.

Real US-based contractors. Same team, same operational discipline that we now bring to gas stations. Construction is a different vertical - but the muscle (multi-stream books, cost reconciliation, niche specialization) is the same one stations need.

"They didn't just record transactions and call it a day. They built a custom chart of accounts around how a remodeling company actually runs, did a full catch-up on years of bookkeeping inside QuickBooks Online, and now stay on top of my monthly bookkeeping and payroll."

Oniel Campbell Oniel Campbell
Founder, Moonz Contracting

"Sahil and his team have been handling the bookkeeping and job costing for my painting business. They've done a great job cleaning up my books, using integrations to give me accurate, timely job costing and solid weekly data. Reliable, and the team is very detailed."

Dalton Mayberry Dalton Mayberry
Owner, ProperCoat Painting
Carl Moore

"They rebuilt the whole thing from the ground up, with real job costing, WIP, and retainage."

Carl Moore

Owner, Hearth & Haus

"They set the accounts up properly first, then cleaned up everything I never entered."

Rolian Rolian
Owner, Overtime Electric

"When I came to them I had no financial structure in place at all. No job costing, no WIP tracking, books were behind, no real way to tell if any job was actually making money. They came in, did a full cleanup, and set up job costing and WIP tracking inside QuickBooks."
